I started to consciously let go. And man, that was hard. It felt like giving up, something I always hated doing. But it wasn’t giving up; it was releasing. I began to spend more time just observing, reflecting, and listening to that quiet inner voice I usually drowned out with “doing.” I started to lean into the uncertainty, to embrace the feeling of not knowing, which was incredibly uncomfortable for someone who usually likes a solid plan.

What did I do? Well, it wasn’t dramatic. It was a series of small, almost imperceptible shifts:

  • I stopped forcing myself to sit down and “work” on the project when it felt like pulling teeth.
  • I started journaling, not about goals, but about feelings, dreams, and doubts.
  • I spent more time near water, just watching the waves, letting my thoughts flow. It sounds cliché, but it actually helped.
  • I reconsidered what “success” truly meant for me, stripping away all the external noise.
  • I started asking myself, “Is this truly aligned with me, or with what I think I should be?”
